At our newly established adult school Corneliusskolan, there is great interest in studying mathematics at both basic and upper secondary level, and we are therefore looking for an additional mathematics teacher. Our mathematics students may have school difficulties, be new to Sweden, need to complete grades for an upper secondary diploma, or study to meet prerequisites for higher education.
Together we offer pleasant study facilities and high-quality mathematics instruction with student success in their studies as our focus. Our vision is to be the best school for adults.
We also have students taking upper secondary subjects at a distance through NTI School. To improve completion rates and reduce dropout, we are looking for you as a mathematics teacher who wants to combine mathematics instruction with coaching of distance students. In your role as a study coach, you maintain contact with and follow up on our distance students, support students with planning and structure in their studies, and offer study techniques. Our NTI students are offered study spaces on weekdays during daytime at Corneliusskolan facilities.
We are looking for someone who is flexible and ready to adapt both mathematics instruction and coaching to each individual student's needs. If you are curious about, want to, and feel you can contribute to the development of our new school, then you should apply for this position.
For this position, Swedish teaching certification is required for instruction in mathematics at both basic and upper secondary levels. Since our students study both on-site and at a distance, your computer and digital skills must be very strong. In addition to mathematics instruction, you support and coach students in other subjects. It is advantageous if you have teaching certification in additional upper secondary subjects, preferably in technology or natural sciences.
