JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a teacher, you will report to a principal as your immediate supervisor and work within a team alongside your colleagues, led by a team leader. In your role as a teacher, you have responsibility for:
• Planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating instruction based on the school's governing documents.
• Participating in collaborative learning to enable joint planning and assessment.
• Engaging in individual and collective school and competency development based on student needs.
• Writing reports, individual development plans, assessments, and other documentation.
• Actively contributing in teams, subject groups, committees, working groups, staff meetings, and workplace meetings.
• Participating in systematic quality work and development efforts based on national and local governing documents.
• Preventing, investigating, and managing problematic absences and promoting regular attendance.
• Adapting learning environments and supporting students through guidance and stimulation, making necessary adjustments, and contributing to evaluations.
• Participating in values-based work to promote safety and an orderly learning environment, and to prevent bullying and harassment.
• Handling school-related and unplanned student incidents, for example, during recess supervision and structured meal times.
• Contributing to the development of the school's digital work and integration of digital tools in instruction.
Job Description:
In your role as a teacher, you are expected to work based on a shared understanding of the school's mission, where the best interests, needs, and wishes of children and young people are central. Through your professional expertise and active participation, you contribute to ensuring each child's and student's complete educational journey. Your efforts in daily meetings and dialogue with students, guardians, and colleagues are crucial for achieving the goal of equitable education and high-quality instruction where all children and students succeed.
You are expected to take overall responsibility for the results achieved, both academically and socially, and contribute to safe and inclusive education and instruction. With a positive and solution-oriented approach, you work with a holistic perspective on the child's and student's development and learning. Ultimately, the mission is to ensure that each child and student receives the best possible education and instruction, based on both national and local governing documents and the school's knowledge and values-based mission. You become part of an environment with competent colleagues and engaged school leaders who work together to create successful accessible learning environments.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a completed teacher education program, authorization, and certification, which is a basic requirement for the position. You have good knowledge of the School Act, the curriculum (Lgr22), and other relevant governing documents and can apply these in your daily work. Experience with instruction and work using language and knowledge development methods is beneficial, especially if you have experience working with students in need of support or in multilingual and multicultural environments.
You are comfortable using and integrating digital tools in instruction and have experience with digital platforms for pedagogical work and documentation. In addition, you have the ability to create safe and inclusive learning environments that promote an orderly learning environment, well-being, and student health.
