Your New Position We are now seeking someone who wants to help develop activities at Ribbaskolan's after-school program together with us. As a teacher in the after-school program, you will play an important role in creating a safe and educational environment for our students. The role includes both work in the after-school program and collaboration with the school during school hours. You will become part of one of our after-school program sections at the primary school, where we work closely together and collaborate across sections to create a cohesive day for the students. As a teacher in the after-school program, you will meet students throughout the day—during school hours as well as in the mornings and afternoons in the after-school program. In your role as a teacher in the after-school program, you are responsible for the pedagogical work in the program and create meaningful activities that align with the curriculum's goals and the primary school's mission. By planning, implementing, and following up on activities, you contribute to giving students the opportunity to learn in creative ways and apply their knowledge in practice. You have a holistic perspective on students' development and learning, and actively work to ensure that the after-school program is a valuable complement to the school day. With a focus on strengthening students' social skills and self-confidence, you create a safe and stimulating environment where each student can grow. You build trusting collaborations with students, guardians, and colleagues, and promote a good learning environment that meets students' needs during their free time. For this school year, we have developed our after-school program to better meet the needs of each age group. We now have two F-1 sections and one grades 2–3 section focused on safety, play, and close relationships for younger children, as well as an after-school club for grades 4–6 that gives older students more independence, influence, and room to grow. At the same time, we see ourselves as one after-school program—the sections collaborate closely with each other, and in the mornings and later afternoons, students meet across age groups in shared care. This means that as a teacher in the after-school program, you will work closely with a clearly defined age group for most of the day, while also being part of a larger context where the entire program works toward the same goals—an exciting opportunity to deepen your pedagogical practice while feeling community across the entire program. You have good knowledge of the primary school's mission and its governing documents, and work based on these with confidence and commitment. It is a merit if you have previous experience working in an after-school program or school. You master the Swedish language well, both spoken and written, and have basic IT skills that support your pedagogical work. We place great importance on personal suitability.
