The Department of Preschool and Primary Education is one of Varbergs Municipality's largest departments with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of activity—preschool, primary education, and child and student health—we are here for children and students as we together shape the future.
Hagaskolan is centrally located in Varberg within walking distance to the train station. The school accommodates 500 students in grades F-9. The school offers a varied outdoor environment that enables play and movement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a teacher with us, you have a central role in creating a safe, developmental and motivating environment where we together create the best possible learning experience. By planning, conducting and following up on your teaching, you give students the conditions to grow based on their unique needs and goals.

Main responsibilities:
• Teaching Grade 4 Swedish/Social Studies/English
• Plan, lead and evaluate teaching based on curriculum documents and chosen didactic strategies.
• Meet each student in their knowledge progression and strengthen their creativity, curiosity and self-esteem through professional leadership.
• Develop stimulating learning environments that encourage learning, participation and student influence.
• Work toward a holistic view of the student's school day through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians.
• Actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to a formative approach in daily educational practice.
QUALIFICATIONS

You are a confident pedagogical leader who with warmth and clarity provides guidance and creates the structure needed for a safe learning environment. For you, collaboration with colleagues is a prerequisite for success; you collaborate without ego to develop the operation together with others.
You are skilled at building relationships and create trusting contacts with both students and guardians. You have good intuition for the group, are flexible, have didactic ability and adapt your methods based on students' different needs, knowledge progression and daily form.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has teacher certification with credentials for teaching Swedish and social studies. An asset is English for grades 4-6 or 4-9.
• Has the ability to base your teaching on proven experience and scientific foundation.
• Demonstrates skill in planning and systematically following up activities within given parameters.
• Has good assessment ability to monitor student development and provide constructive feedback.
• Has clear planning ability to structure lessons and work areas.
Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months, start date: 2027-01-07 Start date by agreement, ends: 2027-06-15.
