About the Job Franska skolan is a Swedish non-profit independent school with roots dating back to 1862. We follow the Swedish curriculum, instruction is conducted in Swedish, and students study French from preschool onward. Prior knowledge of French is not required at the school but is a wonderful opportunity for you if you thrive in an international environment. We have approximately 950 students and are located in central Stockholm near S:t Johannes kyrka. Responsibilities We are now looking for an engaged and development-oriented colleague to join our team teaching students in grades 4–6 Swedish and Social Studies. You have a strong ability to create a sense of safety and build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. You believe in every student's capacity to learn and use student-centered methods that advance their development. It is important to you that students are involved and have influence over planning and their own learning. You are organized and communicate clearly with students and parents. Developing your teaching practice together with your colleagues is a given for you. Through self-reflection and feedback from colleagues, students, and parents, you continuously develop your strong leadership skills. Mentoring is included in this role. The position is permanent with a start date to be agreed upon. We apply a 6-month probationary period. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher in Swedish and Social Studies. You are confident in your teaching role and have the ability to create a positive working environment with students and colleagues. You have strong collaboration skills and a positive outlook on your work that is contagious in our organization.
