The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varbergs Municipality's largest administrations with close to 2,200 employees. Within our areas of activity—preschool, primary school, and child and student health—we are here for children and students—together we shape the future. Ankarskolan is centrally located in Träslövsläge, approximately 5 km southwest of the municipal center of Varberg. The school accommodates 600 students in grades F–9. The school offers a varied outdoor environment that enables movement and play as well as proximity to sea, nature, and sports facilities. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a teacher with us, you have a central role in creating a safe, developing and motivating environment where we together create the best possible meeting for learning. By planning, implementing and following up on your teaching, you give students the conditions to grow based on their unique needs and goals. We offer a workplace where we together take responsibility for creating a sustainable work environment where both students and staff are given the conditions to grow. You will be part of a small team around grades 7-9 with good colleagues, where you together are responsible for and develop the teaching. As part of the work, it involves taking responsibility for and meeting students with a need for special support. Main duties: • Teaching mainly grade 7 in Social Studies and Swedish • Plan, lead and evaluate teaching based on curriculum documents and chosen didactic strategies. • Meet each student in their knowledge progression and strengthen their creativity, curiosity and self-esteem through professional leadership. • Develop stimulating learning environments that encourage learning, participation and student influence. • Work towards a holistic view of the student's school day through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians. • Actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to a formative approach in everyday pedagogy. QUALIFICATIONS For us, it is important that you have a genuine commitment to the teaching profession and see it as a meaningful assignment to make a difference for children and young people. You are a confident pedagogical leader who, with warmth and clarity, provides guidance and creates the structure needed for a safe learning environment. For you, collaboration with colleagues is a prerequisite for success; you work unpretentiously to develop the activities together with others. You are skilled at building relationships and create trusting contacts with both students and guardians. You have a good feel for the group, are flexible, have didactic ability and adapt your methods based on students' different needs, knowledge progression and daily form. We are looking for you who: • Has teacher certification with qualifications for teaching Social Studies and Swedish for grades 7-9. • Has the ability to base your teaching on proven experience and scientific foundation. • Demonstrates skill in planning and systematically following up activities within given frameworks. • Has good assessment ability to follow up student development and provide constructive feedback. • Has clear planning ability to structure lessons and topic areas.
