Vifolkaskolan 7-9 is located in Mantorp, a stone's throw from the commuter train, and has approximately 330 students distributed across 12 classes and one special education group. The staff consists of both experienced teachers who have been with us for many years and teachers who are at the beginning of their teaching careers. Additionally, the school has competent staff members such as student assistants, caretakers, library staff, and study and career counselors. We also have a student health team consisting of a school nurse, counselor, school psychologist, speech-language pathologist, special education teacher, career counselor, and special education specialist. The position is placed at the Education Administration, which is one of Mjölby Municipality's six administrations and is responsible for preschool, primary school, upper secondary school, adapted primary and upper secondary school, and adult education. DUTIES At Vifolkaskolan 7-9, we work as subject teachers and a large part of the work takes place in subject teams, as will also be the case in this position. You work according to the school's goals and mission by promoting learning where individuals are encouraged to acquire and develop knowledge and values. In your work, you shall collaborate with families to promote students' all-round personal development into active, creative, competent and responsible individuals and citizens. Based on the goals that are set, you shall work to ensure that students achieve the best possible development, both in terms of knowledge and socially, and actively influence and encourage students to achieve the goals. You create teaching that, based on your interpretation and understanding, meets the requirements in school legislation, curriculum, course plan, and subject plan. You shall be subject-knowledgeable, mentor students, plan and lead instruction, assess and grade knowledge development. You actively participate in the school's development and help develop the activities. In your role as a subject teacher for grades 7-9, you work within primary school operations and are supervised by the school principal. Mentoring is part of the assignment. QUALIFICATIONS The position has the following requirements: • teacher certification • subject teacher degree for grades 7-9 • competency in mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, or technology.
