Are you a person who is passionate about creating meaningful relationships and guiding students with development as your guiding star, so that everyone can reach their full potential? If you also prefer to see opportunities instead of obstacles in everyday life, then you are the person we are looking for! We are now looking for a dedicated mathematics and science teacher at Runby School.
What we offer you
Runby School is an employer with the goal of making it easy for you to do a good job, enjoy your work, and feel well. We strive to ensure that as an employee, you can maintain a balance between your work life and your leisure time. Runby School is located in Upplands Väsby Municipality and now offers you the opportunity to become part of our school with a sports and outdoor education profile.
About us
Runby School is located in western Väsby with the forest as our nearest neighbor, featuring ski trails, outdoor gym, and artificial grass field. The school has a sports and outdoor education profile and focuses on sustainable development across all subjects. Currently, the school has approximately 1,100 students, including students in adapted primary education and a municipal autism program.
At Runby School, we value relationships and collaboration. We strive to create a learning environment where each student feels seen. We view learning as a whole, and physical activity is a foundation for both well-being and knowledge development.
Runby School is also a partner school to Uppsala University, which means the school receives several student teachers during an academic year. Supporting these students is everyone's responsibility, even if you are not a VFU mentor.
About the position
As a mathematics and science teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction, including assessment and grading. You will also be a mentor for a year 9 class together with a colleague. In your teaching, you will teach mathematics, physics, biology, and chemistry in years 7 and 9, as well as mathematics and science in your mentor class.
