We are seeking two dedicated teachers who want to work with intensive mathematics instruction for grade 9 students. During the school year, you will work to raise students' achievement levels in mathematics, ensuring they meet upper secondary school eligibility requirements. The assignment involves using a structured approach to strengthen students' knowledge, confidence, and opportunities for success.
The initiative is based on a model developed by Specialpedagogiska skolmyndigheten (SPSM) and Nationellt Centrum för Matematikundervisning (NCM). It is delivered in small teaching groups with clear structure, work in close relationships with students, and continuous feedback. As an employee, you will have access to mentoring throughout the assignment.
One position will be located at Vallåsskolan and one at Brunnsåkersskolan.
About the Assignment
As an intensive instruction teacher, you will work with a small group of students over a continuous six-week period using a shared and specific teaching model. The instruction focuses on the knowledge essential for meeting the grade 9 proficiency requirements.
The work also includes monitoring student progress, documentation, and collaboration with guardians and the school's student support team as needed.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you if you:
• Are a certified elementary school teacher/special education teacher or special pedagogue and have authorization to teach mathematics in grades 7-9.
• Have a strong ability to create motivation, security, and a conducive study environment
• Are skilled at adapting instruction based on student needs
• Have a structured and systematic approach to work
• Have experience with structured and systematic ways to document and follow up on your teaching
