The Preschool and Elementary Education Administration is one of Varbergs Municipality's largest departments with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of preschool, elementary school, and child and student health services, we are here for children and students—together we shape the future.
Hagaskolan is centrally located in Varberg within walking distance to the train station. The school accommodates 500 students in grades F-9. The school offers a varied outdoor environment that enables play and movement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a teacher with us, you have a central role in creating a safe, developmental, and motivating environment where we together create the best possible learning experience. By planning, implementing, and following up on your instruction, you provide students with the conditions to grow based on their unique needs and goals.

This position is currently directed only toward science in grade 8. Since this position may potentially become permanent, you must also be qualified in mathematics.
Main responsibilities:
• Teaching in grade 8 in Science and Math
• Plan, lead, and evaluate instruction based on governing documents and chosen didactic strategies.
• Meet each student in their knowledge progression and strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-confidence through professional leadership.
• Develop stimulating learning environments that encourage learning, participation, and student influence.
• Work toward a holistic perspective of the student's school day through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians.
• Actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to a formative approach in daily pedagogy.
QUALIFICATIONS

You are a secure pedagogical leader who with warmth and clarity provides guidance and creates the structure required for a safe learning environment. For you, collaboration with colleagues is a prerequisite for success; you work without ego to develop the activities together with others.
You are skilled at building relationships and create trusting contacts with both students and guardians. You have good intuition for the group, are flexible, have didactic ability, and adapt your methods based on students' different needs, knowledge progression, and daily form.
We are seeking you if you:
• Hold teacher certification with authorization to teach math/science in grades 7-9.
• Have the ability to base your instruction on proven experience and scientific foundation.
• Demonstrate skill in systematically planning and following up on activities within given frameworks.
• Have good assessment ability to follow up on student development and provide constructive feedback.
• Have clear planning ability to structure lessons and work areas.
Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment form: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months, start date: 2027-01-07. Start date by agreement, end date: 2027-06-15.
