Södermalmsskolan is part of the central school district and is an F-9 school with approximately 850 students, with facilities and grounds divided between grades F-3, 4-6, and 7-9. DUTIES
As a middle school teacher, you plan, implement, and evaluate instruction. Your teaching is based on the school's governing documents, and you plan instruction based on your and the subject team's systematic quality work. Student participation is a given.
Collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues is an important part of the role, and together with other educators in your team, you'll take responsibility for developing the operation so that each student has the best possible conditions for development and learning. In the team you're part of, you share experiences, competence, and work satisfaction.
We also see pedagogical documentation as a natural part of our systematic quality work and operational development.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Teacher education for grades 7-9, but we also welcome those in the final stages of their education
• Teacher certification
• Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish
We consider it an advantage if you have:
• Experience working with children in need of special support
• Experience working with language and knowledge-developing work methods
• Knowledge of digital learning platforms
• IT interest.
For us, it's important that you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working together to create a safe and developing learning environment for students. You find it easy to build trusting relationships with both students, parents, and colleagues. You have a good understanding of students' different learning conditions and adapt your teaching based on students' different needs.
As a teacher with us, you're also confident and drive your work forward in an independent manner, you maintain good structure and focus on students' knowledge development and goal achievement. Continuously working to develop and improve your teaching and contributing to the school's joint development work is a natural part of the role. Also important is that you're open to new digital solutions and tools.
