Job Responsibilities
As a history teacher, you will plan, conduct, and follow up on instruction based on applicable laws, regulations, and governing documents for teachers. You will communicate the learning objectives and clearly explain your assessment to students.
You will assess student achievement of learning goals and assign grades according to governing documents. In your role as a mentor, you will support students by understanding their needs, monitoring their progress, and contributing to the goal of achieving an upper secondary diploma.
In collaboration with school leadership and colleagues, you will help create favorable conditions for students to thrive, develop, and achieve their goals.
In various collegial forums, you will have the opportunity to contribute to and develop your subject knowledge as well as your pedagogical and didactic abilities.
Qualifications
We are looking for a certified upper secondary teacher with authorization to teach history and one additional subject. The second subject should be in languages, natural sciences, or a social studies subject. Previous experience working as a teacher is a merit.
You have broad digital competence and integrate digital tools naturally into both planning and instruction. You demonstrate genuine commitment to young people's wellbeing, have a strong ability to recognize different needs, and adapt your approach based on your target audience.
You are open to developing and trying new teaching methods. We place great importance on personal suitability, such as creativity, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to adapt when conditions change and find practical solutions.
