Väskolan is located just outside central Kristianstad in a residential area. We have approximately 540 students and provide instruction in grades F-9. The school has 4 after-school care units for students who need supervision after the school day ends. We work together to provide our students with the very best conditions for success in life.

Your role with us
You are responsible for instruction in the after-school program. You will also support students in the classroom setting during school hours in close collaboration with classroom teachers. Your primary task is to create quality-assured instruction in the after-school program and school that is engaging and inspiring, in accordance with the curriculum goals.
You also work based on democratic values and incorporate what students want in the after-school activities. To ensure continuity in planning and addressing different students' needs, collaboration takes place with primary school teachers and preschool teachers. Together with your colleagues, you also organize and lead outdoor activities and recess supervision.
Your relationships with students are characterized by mutual respect, collaboration, trusting attitudes, and positive expectations. You have the ability to set expectations for students and are clear about what is required. Documentation of after-school program activities is also part of the role. Furthermore, you actively engage in collegial learning and systematically reflect on your work individually and with others, linked to the program's goals and influences from the surrounding world.
Who are we looking for?
You have teacher certification with qualifications to conduct instruction in an after-school program and we prefer that you also have teacher certification for grades 1-3 in primary school.
You are well acquainted with and uphold the professional ethical principles for teachers and have the ability to promote democratic values and recognize that all children/students have equal worth. You also manage leadership in the after-school program/classroom and work with goal-oriented planning and documentation.
You have the ability to inspire enthusiasm, create interest, and meet children at their developmental level. The ability to select pedagogical tools based on individual needs is required. You should be able to integrate digital technology in daily operations and as a tool in your own work. Your excellent communication skills, responsiveness, and collaboration abilities are essential for building trusting relationships with contacts inside and outside the school.
For us to assess your application, you must submit your diploma and teacher certification. When we want to offer you the position, you must provide a certificate from the police criminal record registry so we can employ you, according to provisions in chapter 2, sections 31-33 of the School Act.

We offer a full-time temporary position starting by agreement with a duration of 6 months with the possibility of extension.
