We are now seeking a qualified after-school program teacher to work with children in grades F–3. This is a permanent full-time position (100%).
Kungsladugårdsskolan is an F-6 school with approximately 600 students. Our organization also includes adapted primary education. The school is located in Majorna with proximity to many beautiful environments, including Slottsskogen and Svaleboskogen forests. It is also easy to reach the city center and Gothenburg's southern archipelago by tram and bus. Kungsladugårdsskolan's core philosophy is that all children belong to all of us.
Job Responsibilities
As an after-school program teacher, you play a central role in leading and developing the pedagogical activities at the after-school program. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating meaningful and stimulating activities based on the after-school program's curriculum purpose and central content. Your teaching is based on students' needs, interests, and circumstances, and you actively work to promote equality, gender equality, and everyone's right to a safe and inclusive environment.
The activities you lead complement the school's instruction and are an important part of each student's complete school day. Therefore, collaboration with other educators is a natural part of your role. Together with colleagues, you contribute to creating a holistic view of students' learning, development, and social interaction. You work both independently and in close collaboration with others to create good conditions for all students to grow, thrive, and succeed.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a certified after-school program teacher. If you are qualified to teach subject matter, that is a merit.
As a person, you adapt easily and adjust your approach based on changed circumstances and new information. You can quickly shift your perspective and mindset and see opportunities in change. You listen to other people in order to understand their needs. You work for cohesion in the work group and see failures as something to learn from, creating space for dialogue.
