Would you like to help create a safe and inspiring learning environment at a school where the relational perspective and the student's entire school day are in focus? We are now recruiting an engaged teacher for after-school care at Blästadsskolan who wants to develop our operations in close collaboration with colleagues and students in our naturally beautiful environments. Your tasks As a teacher in after-school care, your starting point is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based education based on the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. As a teacher in after-school care, you see the student's entire school day as important and therefore collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this, you also work together with the after-school care and school operations to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching. You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous occasions. To support student learning as well as your own and the operation's development, you take advantage of different professions' experiences and knowledge. This position is a temporary role that extends from by agreement until 2027-02-28. Your workplace Blästadsskolan is a multifaceted operation consisting of primary school grades F-6, after-school care, resource school specializing in hearing impairment, adapted primary school grades 1-6, and after-school care. The school is located in Linköping's southern districts and has nature right at hand. As a middle school teacher, you will work in our newly built school building with facilities specially adapted for the operation. The schoolyard borders beautiful oak forests, hiking areas, and grasslands that offer an inspiring environment for play and learning. The school has approximately 400 students and about 100 employees work here. Blästadsskolan's approach is a relational perspective that should permeate the operation. In a relational perspective, actions and environment are important to examine to understand how and why people encounter difficulties, as difficulties are understood to arise in situations. The focus is on shaping the learning environment and teaching so that it meets all students' different needs. The relational perspective is based on a democratic citizenship perspective, equal rights, participation, and an accessible society. Together we create joyful learning situations where each student is given the opportunity to develop based on their individual conditions and abilities. Blästadsskolan should be a school that provides security and good knowledge. We have age-homogeneous after-school care departments for grades F-2: Jaguaren, Leoparden, and Tigern, as well as Pantern for grades 3–6. The after-school care operation offers both structured and spontaneous activities based on the children's needs, own wishes, and group needs. The after-school care work is characterized by common themes as well as both weekly and cross-age activities. About you First and foremost, we are looking for someone with a teacher's license with qualification in after-school care. Second, we are looking for someone with a diploma or completed education as a teacher in after-school care. Alternatively, you are near the end of your education to become a teacher in after-school care. It is a requirement that you have experience as a teacher in curriculum-based after-school care, through practice or as an employee. It is meritorious if you have worked as a teacher in after-school care for at least one school year. In your role as a teacher in after-school care, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in speech and writing in Swedish. This is so that according to the curriculum (Lgr22) you organize and implement the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. As a teacher in after-school care, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to students and let them participate in shaping the instruction. In a quality-conscious way, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it.
