Description Björlandaskolan is an F-6 school beautifully situated in northern Torslanda with the opportunity for teaching in our nearby school forest. The sea is within walking distance. We are a school where students, staff, and parents work together to create good conditions for learning. The school has approximately 550 students and we have approximately 60 staff members. Björlandaskolan's after-school program is divided into four different departments that we collaborate across. We are looking for an after-school teacher who is passionate about creating meaningful and developmental activities for our students. You will work in after-school care with grade 1 students. We place great emphasis on ensuring that each student and group feels secure in routines, new environments, and contexts. For us, preventive and promotion-focused safety work is important, as well as having good interactions with one another. We offer organized activities and games during several breaks throughout the week. We have several established and enjoyable traditions throughout the year and also develop our mentoring activities between classes. In our school, we work on school development through collegial collaboration. Together, we create a learning organization. Job Responsibilities As an after-school teacher, you work in class or plan afternoon activities during the day. In the afternoons and during school breaks, you work in the after-school program. Together with your colleagues, you collaborate and create continuity throughout the students' entire day. You have a holistic perspective and work to ensure that learning happens throughout the day in all situations. You work to motivate and inspire students toward learning and support them in their social and knowledge development. At Björlandaskolan, you will play a crucial role in our students' development and well-being. Your main focus will be creating a safe and stimulating environment where children can explore, learn, and grow through play and creative thinking. You will plan and implement activities that encourage collaboration, communication, and personal development. You are important in the collaboration between student, home, and school. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is trained and certified as an after-school teacher. Those of you who are studying your final term to become an after-school teacher and are expected to graduate now are also welcome to apply.
