Maria Elementarskola is seeking a dedicated and confident educator for a combined full-time position. The role consists of approximately 50% work in the afterschool program for lower grades and approximately 50% teaching physical education and health to students in lower and middle grades.

About the Position
In the afterschool program, you will work together with other staff to create a safe, meaningful, and developmental program for lower grade students. You participate actively in planning, implementing, and following up on activities and contribute to a program where students have opportunities for movement, creativity, play, collaboration, and rest.
The position also includes teaching physical education to students in lower and middle grades. You plan, implement, and evaluate instruction based on the curriculum and adapt activities to students' different ages, needs, and abilities.
The combination of this role provides excellent opportunities to work with students' joy of movement, health, collaboration skills, and social development throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
You will, among other things:
plan and implement activities in the afterschool program
plan and implement physical education and health instruction
create safe, inclusive, and developmental activities
be an active and present adult throughout the students' day
support students in their social development and help them manage conflicts
collaborate with teachers, afterschool staff, student health services, and school leadership
contribute to planning, documentation, and development of the program
maintain contact with guardians when needed
ensure that activities and instruction are carried out in a safe manner

are trained as an afterschool teacher, leisure-time pedagogue, or have other education that the employer considers relevant
have certification or documented competence to teach physical education and health
have experience working with children in lower grades and preferably also middle grades
are confident, clear, and responsible in your leadership
can create structure while remaining flexible when the program requires it
enjoy actively participating in students' activities
have an easy time building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians
have a solution-focused approach and strong collaboration skills
speak and write Swedish well

Meritorious Qualifications
It is meritorious if you:
have teacher certification with authorization in afterschool and/or physical education and health
have experience planning and assessing physical education and health instruction
have knowledge of NPF and adaptations in instruction
have experience with low-intensity interaction, conflict management, or work with group-building activities
have experience working in both school and afterschool settings
