Grisbacka School is an F–6 school located in Grisbacka in one of Umeå's older neighborhoods. The large schoolyard invites play, games, and movement. Nearby there are parks, ski trails, and forest. With driven and competent staff, safe and motivated students, and good collaboration with guardians, we take learning seriously. Grisbacka School is one of Umeå Municipality's practice schools, which means that during the school year we receive student teachers for their practice teaching, VFU. Employment Information
The position is a fixed-term full-time employment, starting as soon as possible by agreement until 2026-12-31, with the possibility of extension.
Your Tasks
In this position you will work in preschool class and after-school care. You will also work partly with individual students.
Your task as a teacher in after-school care is to offer meaningful leisure time where you start from students' needs, interests, and initiatives but also inspire new discoveries. Together with your colleagues, you offer students a variety of working methods, forms of expression, and learning environments where care and learning are integrated. You collaborate with educators in preschool class to contribute to students' goal achievement. Contact and collaboration with guardians is also an important part of the work.
About You
You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents, have the ability to vary instruction and activities based on students' needs. You are a secure adult and a good role model who has the ability to connect with students, see each individual, and create a good learning environment. You motivate students by letting them participate and come up with their own suggestions. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
Requirements
Trained teacher in after-school care
Have/have applied for teacher certification
Experience working with groups of children
Good knowledge of Swedish language spoken and written
Valid extract from the criminal record register
