Böleängsskolan is an F-6 school with approximately 415 students in preschool class, grades 1-6, and an after-school program. The school is located in a residential area approximately 3 km from Umeå city center, with a large schoolyard and proximity to park, forest, and river. The ability to collaborate is one of the most important competencies for the future and a prerequisite for students to learn as much as possible. We want to train our students in the ability to collaborate and learn together with their peers, and everyone should, based on their own conditions, be able to develop as far as possible. All students have the right to a good working environment; therefore, the school and after-school program offer structured and predictable instruction.

Employment Information
The position is a fixed-term contract, part-time 75%, starting 2026-10-19 through 2027-07-02.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will work with students in the after-school program and preschool class. Your task as an after-school program teacher is to provide meaningful after-school time based on students' needs, interests, and initiatives while also inspiring new discoveries. Together with your colleagues, you will offer students a variety of working methods, forms of expression, and learning environments where care and learning are integrated. You collaborate with educators in preschool class to contribute to students' achievement of learning goals. Contact and cooperation with guardians is also an important part of the work.
About You
You are well familiar with the school's governing documents and have the ability to vary instruction and activities based on students' needs. You are a secure adult and a good role model who can connect with students, see each individual, and create a good learning environment. You motivate students by letting them participate and contribute their own ideas. Personal suitability is given great importance.
Requirements
Educated after-school program teacher
Have or have applied for teacher certification
Experience working in after-school programs and/or preschool classes
Good knowledge of Swedish language, both spoken and written
Valid extract from the criminal record register
