We are now seeking a substitute teacher for our after-school program at Markusskolan. Markusskolan is a centrally located F-3 school with approximately 300 students. The school has a large and active after-school program that provides meaningful leisure activities for our children. During all breaks, we offer recreational activities that contribute to a meaningful school day. Markusskolan has an active School Sports Association which provides opportunities to try different activities and sports in an organized manner, both during school hours and leisure time. As a teacher in the after-school program, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating activities at the after-school program. You are also responsible for collaborating with colleagues, students, guardians, and other relevant stakeholders to create a safe and developmentally supportive environment for the students. Examples of activities in the after-school program can include creative, exploratory, or physical activities both outdoors and indoors. During school hours, you have various tasks such as supervising breaks, organizing recreational activities, and being a trusted adult in changing rooms. You work to create an environment where all students can succeed based on their individual abilities. We are looking for someone who has: After-School Teacher certification (required for permanent position) Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing We would also like you to have: Initiative Collaboration skills Skilled in relationship-based pedagogy This is a substitute position with possible opportunity for extension during HT-27.
