Every day 640 students in grades F-9 are taught by approximately 85 educators at our two after-school centers. The school also includes a youth center open in the evenings for our young people. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now seeking a teacher in English and another subject. The position is 100% and this academic year includes teaching English and Natural Sciences. Your task with us is to lay the foundation for a Good Life for the students you meet and teach. This means that you prepare, plan, conduct and evaluate instruction in a professional manner based on governing documents, evidence-based knowledge and current research. You are part of a team with other educators and together with the team and other colleagues who teach the same subjects you work jointly for students' development toward the goals. Good collaboration and support is offered both within the team and subject group, as we have a high proportion of qualified teachers at the school. All students in grades 1-9 have their own computer and digital tools are naturally used as part of instruction. All classrooms are equipped with sound systems and projectors and we have good access to teaching materials. Educators have their own work computer and work phone. With us you have great pedagogical freedom, where leadership, relationships, clarity, accessible learning environment and academic focus are in focus. QUALIFICATIONS We are primarily seeking you with teacher certification in English and another subject, but other qualifications are also of interest. We would like to see that you have experience working in the school world. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and therefore also encourage you without teaching certification, but with experience working with students, to apply for our positions. It is important for us that you can build good relationships, are responsive, clear, creative and meet each student based on their individual circumstances.
