In August 2024, we moved to a fantastic new school building at Änggårdsbergen where we also expanded our operations. We're now looking for you who want to be part of our school! Our operations are built on three pillars: * bilingualism (SV/ENG) * calm and safe school environment * high academic expectations. Our profile is English and up to 50% of teaching is conducted in English from grade 3 onwards. The language is introduced gradually in the younger grades. We work on language development using a method called Reading to Learn; if you have experience with this or similar approaches, that is a merit. At IES Södra Änggården, all adults are here for the students, where good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians form the foundation of our work. For us, it's important that you are a dedicated and competent role model who continuously wants to contribute to developing the school's pedagogical work together with your colleagues. The working language between colleagues is primarily English. We are part of the organization Internationella Engelska Skolan i Sverige AB (IES), which is one of Sweden's leading independent schools with 48 different schools across Sweden. Internationella Engelska Skolan follows the Swedish curriculum (upcoming LGR22). We're looking for you who have experience working in lower primary. You're responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the activities. You'll collaborate with a colleague in the classroom, leisure-time educators, and other teachers in the work team. Description of qualifications: We want you as a person to be driven, positive, and have high work ethics. It's also important that you're a good and reliable team player. The position as a teacher in grade 2 is a parental leave replacement, and we're looking for you who are a certified teacher. Teaching certification in Swedish/SV is a requirement.
