The Preschool and Primary Education Administration is one of Varbergs kommun's largest departments with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of preschool, primary school, and child and student health, we are here for children and students – together we shape the future. Väröbackaskolan is an F-9 school with space for 650 students. The school has been renovated and expanded for the fall term 2026. In grade 7, we welcome students who have completed their lower and middle school years at Buaskolan. Väröbackaskolan is located next to rolling grain fields in the community of Väröbacka between Kungsbacka and Varberg. It is important for us to work for community and well-being where we together strengthen students' learning and inspire them to achieve their dreams. The after-school center at Väröbackaskolan has two units, Månen and Solen. We have a student health team consisting of a school nurse, school counselor, special education teacher, school psychologist, and study and career advisor. 1 position(s). DUTIES Teaching in grades 4-6 primarily Swedish, math and science in grade 6. Also class teacher in grade 6. By planning, implementing and following up on your teaching, you give students the conditions to grow based on their unique needs and goals. Main duties: • Teaching in grades [specify range] in [specify subject] • Plan, lead and evaluate teaching based on curriculum documents and chosen didactic strategies. • Meet each student in their knowledge progression and strengthen their creativity, curiosity and self-esteem through professional leadership. • Develop stimulating learning environments that encourage learning, participation and student influence. • Work toward a holistic view of the student's school day through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians. • Actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to a formative approach in the pedagogical daily practice. You have good instincts for the group, are flexible, have didactic ability and adapt your methods based on students' different needs, knowledge progression and daily conditions.
