The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments with close to 2,200 employees. Within our operational areas of preschool, primary school, and child and student health, we are here for children and students – together we shape the future. Spannarp School is the small school with 30 students, approximately 5 minutes from Ankarskolans. Here the after-school program staff work closely together with the teachers. Spannarp School and Ankarskolan are a shared intake area in the southwestern part of Varberg Municipality. In our development plan, we have an ambition to meet the future through continued teaching development to reach our vision: a school where all students get the opportunity to develop their self-esteem, find their inner motivation and learn to take responsibility for their own learning and their own actions. All students are offered equivalent education of high quality in a stimulating and safe environment. 1 position(s). DUTIES Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest drive. As a teacher in our after-school program, you play a central role in creating a safe, developmental and motivating environment for students where we create the best possible learning experience. Together with your colleagues, you shape a relational leadership where teaching quality is in focus. By planning, implementing and following up on your varied teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity and self-esteem through play, creative activities and movement. You will work together with colleagues in a small team. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for planning activities. During school hours you will meet students in grades F-3 during breaks, in lessons and individual support, and in the afternoon you work at the after-school program. The after-school program is primarily at Spannarp School but you will collaborate with the after-school program at Ankarskolan. During holidays, the after-school program is at Ankarskolan. Examples of duties: - Shape teaching that is based on scientific evidence and proven experience. - Take responsibility for clear leadership that promotes student learning, participation and influence. - Plan and follow up teaching at the after-school program based on your choice of pedagogical and didactic strategies, adapted to students' needs. - Meet each student in their learning progression and contribute to developing accessible learning environments. - Collaborate with colleagues to create continuity in students' learning throughout the school day. - Take responsibility for being a good role model and contribute to an organization for planning and evaluation of teaching. QUALIFICATIONS As a teacher in the after-school program, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating teaching. Your teaching is based on proven experience and scientific evidence with an exploratory approach. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the program by planning and following up on teaching together. You have good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and the school's goals. Together we have the responsibility to create a sustainable work environment where both students and staff feel good, can grow and develop. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. To succeed in this role, you have: - Teacher certification with authorization to teach in after-school programs. - A holistic view of learning and teaching where you see the possibilities in supporting students' development throughout the school day. - Good assessment ability to follow up on students' development and provide constructive feedback. - Clear planning ability to structure lessons and work areas in an organized manner. - Good didactic ability to translate the curriculum's purpose into practical activities. - Good collaboration ability and a relationship-building approach.
