About Us
Adapted School is a specialized school form for students who, due to an intellectual disability or brain injury, do not have the prerequisites to meet the grading criteria of compulsory school or upper secondary school. Our team includes mentors, student assistants, and practical aesthetic teachers who are part of the faculty. The school is centrally located in Solna, near Solna centrum, in the Skytteholm School facilities. We employ various working methods based on different perspectives, which means the individual is at the center of focus. It's about ensuring that teaching is adapted to each student's needs and development. Students receive quality instruction where the focus is on knowledge acquisition and a positive school experience.

About the Position
Together with other teachers, you are responsible for the pedagogical activities. You will be part of a team at Adapted School that will shape and develop the activities and lay a strong foundation for student development. Our development areas include accessible learning environments and grading and assessment. An important part of the work is developing the social climate so that all students feel well and enjoy being in the group.
Teaching includes, among other things, instructing knowledge about creative processes and craft techniques, as well as important subject vocabulary and concepts.
What We're Looking For
We seek someone who:
is a qualified teacher with a teaching degree and teacher certification
is trained as a special education teacher in intellectual disabilities
has experience in pedagogical work
is qualified to teach art
bases instruction on science and proven experience, creating good learning environments (didactic, emotional, and physical)
has a positive approach to IT as a natural tool in both pedagogy and documentation
is well familiar with LGR 22 and has knowledge of language-developing work methods.
It is meritorious if you have previous experience teaching students in an adapted school.
As a person, you are responsive to students' needs, clear, respectful, and have a great ability to collaborate with both our students, parents, and colleagues. You enjoy collaborating with your colleagues, both within your subject and across subject areas. Your work is based on great dedication where you are initiative-taking and want to help develop our school. You plan, organize, and prioritize efficiently and ensure that all processes are completed with good quality.
