Your Tasks
As a teacher, your starting point is to work with planning, instruction, evaluation, and values-based education based on the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
As a teacher in grades 7-9, you collaborate with guardians, colleagues, and others at the school to achieve higher learning outcomes and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging instruction. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.
You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous times. To support student learning as well as your own and the organization's development, you draw on the experience and knowledge of different professionals.
This position is a temporary assignment from 2027-01-07 to 2027-06-16 and involves teaching physics, technology, and/or mathematics in grades 7-9. You collaborate and co-plan with your 10 subject colleagues in the ma/NO subject area. For this, you have allocated subject time each week.
All teachers at Elsa Brändströms School are also mentors. In this position, you will be one of two mentors in a class. As a mentor, you have significant responsibility for your mentees, including academic development and attendance monitoring. Being a mentor also means becoming the central point for students who need accommodations and special support. The mentoring role includes contact with guardians, colleagues, and other community actors regarding your mentees.

Elsa Brändströms School is a centrally located school serving grades 7-9. We have approximately 450 students in six parallel classes and about 60 staff members. You
Firstly, we are looking for you who have teacher certification with authorization to teach physics or technology in grades 7-9. Secondly, we are looking for you with completed teacher education for grades 7-9. Alternatively, you are nearing completion of your teacher education for grades 7-9. It is meritorious if you have authorization to teach mathematics in grades 7-9.
It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-based school through internship or as an employee.
In your role as a teacher in grades 7-9, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communicative skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you shall organize and carry out the work so that students receive support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.
As a teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your instruction to students and let them participate in shaping the instruction. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for student development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society that appear in your professional role.
