Teacher Grades 4-9
The Resource School is a new operation that started in November 2025. The Resource School focuses on accessibility and inclusive learning environments from a health-promoting and preventive student well-being perspective. The school is located in Hemmesta east of Gustavsberg, approximately 30 minutes by direct bus from Slussen. The school is a primary school and will consist of 4 classes from fall 2026 onwards. The school also has an after-school program.
Sjöängsskolan has a strong focus on well-developed work with extra adaptations, visual support and digital aids in teaching. The school has certified expertise in all practical-aesthetic subjects and a well-functioning student well-being team where all competencies are included. Expertise in PBS (Positive Behavior Support) and TBA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is high.
Your Assignment
Your assignment as a teacher involves leading all parts of your teaching and following up each student's development and learning. Each class consists of 9-10 students, a teaching teacher and 2-3 student assistants. As the teaching teacher, you are responsible for most of the daily instruction. You are also responsible for leading the support staff in the classroom.
This teaching position includes mentor responsibility for one of the classes in the resource school. The mentor and the class's resources form a class team that has dedicated time for weekly planning and follow-up.
As a teacher you are part of a teacher work team. As an employee at the school you are also involved in discussing overarching questions, prioritized goals and development processes during staff meetings and study days.
Your Experience
We are looking for someone who has teacher certification for grades 4-9, with broad credentials in theoretical subjects, especially in Science/Math. If you have special education teacher certification, this is considered a merit.
It is a merit if you have experience working based on PBS (Positive Behavior Support), low-affect approach and TBA (Applied Behavior Analysis).

For this position, submission of a valid extract from the police's criminal record register is a requirement for employment. The position may be filled provided that no one with preferential rights due to redundancy makes a claim to the position.
