In your role as a teacher, you will work closely with experienced colleagues and shape the best possible school experience for our students. We are a small school with great flexibility where students' school days, school, and leisure time can blend together. Teaching takes place individually or in a smaller setting. Welcome to Us Nordskogen is a resource school. The school is Jönköpings kommun's most specialized facility for students with a focus on special support needs. The target group is students from grade two through grade nine with comprehensive needs over time, in terms of academics, social development, and mental health. Currently, we have 20 students enrolled at the school. The school is located on Huskvarna Hill with nature right nearby. The school started in August 2022 and in February 2023 we moved into completely renovated facilities designed according to the school's specialized focus. Instruction at the school is adapted to each student's individual needs and circumstances. The starting point for our work is to create an accessible, varied, and differentiated learning environment. Our students encounter highly dedicated and experienced staff consisting of various professional categories. We work on a relationship-based approach and maintain close contact between school, student, and guardians to create a safe environment for our students. The importance of adapted treatment based on each student's specific needs is central to our operation. If you have authorization and experience teaching Physical Education, Music, Mathematics, Science, or English up to grade 9, that is a merit but not required. Teachers with authorization to teach grades 1-7, 4-6, and 4-9 are of interest. You have worked several years as a teacher and have acquired necessary experience in the teaching profession. You also have experience working with students in need of special support. If you have experience working at a resource school, resource unit, or other specialized instruction group, that is a merit. You are confident, stable, and skilled at working relationally with students. You appreciate, hopefully, being out in nature, as we have recently acquired a school forest by Tenhultssjön to develop. Everyone at school works together, and you are expected to contribute and be active in the school's development and work with all our students throughout the entire school day. We are looking for someone who wants to work with students with the greatest needs and have the right conditions to do so.
