Your Responsibilities As a teacher, your starting point is to work with planning, instruction, evaluation, and values-based education based on the curriculum. The work is conducted both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. As a teacher, you see the student's entire school day as important and therefore collaborate with guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this, the school and after-school program work together to achieve higher goal attainment and create the best conditions for each student. You work based on the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging instruction. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching. You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous occasions. To support student learning, as well as your own and the organization's development, you draw on the experiences and knowledge of different professionals. This position is a temporary contract that extends until 2027-06-11. Your Workplace Kärna School is one of the largest preschool-grade 6 schools in Linköping Municipality, with approximately 600 students distributed from preschool class to grade 6. We have an after-school program with five age-specific units. The school is directly adjacent to nature and approximately 10 minutes by bus from Linköping city center. The school's leadership team consists of a principal, two assistant principals, the school's lead teacher, and special education coordinator. About You First and foremost, we are looking for you who have teacher certification with qualifications to teach grades 4-6 in Social Studies. Second, we are looking for you with completed teacher education for grades 4-6. Alternatively, you are near the end of your teacher education for grades 4-6. It is meritorious if you have qualifications to teach English and Swedish. It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-based school through internship or as an employee. It is meritorious if you have taught in grades 4-6 for at least one academic year. It is also meritorious if you have experience assigning grades or have documented student learning during the school year. In your role as a teacher in grades 4-6, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is so that according to the curriculum (Lgr22) you organize and conduct the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. As a teacher in grades 4-6, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your instruction to students and let them participate in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it.
