Do you want to work close to the soil, machinery, animals and curious students – while contributing to a more sustainable society? As an agricultural worker/instructor at the school's farm, you'll combine practical agriculture with pedagogy in your daily work. Here you'll help shape the next generation of farmers, in the middle of a municipal operation where welfare, education and sustainable development go hand in hand. You'll become part of the school's agricultural team and be involved in the entire chain: from animal and machinery care to mentoring students in the barn, stable, fields and machine hall. It's a role for someone who enjoys variety, gets along well with young people and doesn't mind getting a little muddy boots in the process. Work Duties In this role, you'll alternate between practical agricultural work and instructing students in their daily exercises. You're a trusted adult in the operation and show, tell, explain and sometimes explain the same thing again – with patience and good humor. You work closely with teachers and colleagues to ensure that teaching and operations work together in a smart way. Instruct and mentor students in practical aspects of crop production, animal husbandry and machinery operation Participate in field work such as sowing, harvesting, fertilizing and maintenance of land and machinery Contribute to a safe work environment by following and teaching routines for occupational health, animal welfare and biosecurity Help develop routines, working methods and student activities with a focus on sustainable development Qualifications We're looking for someone who finds it just as enjoyable to work with people as with crops, machinery and animals. You're calm, clear and unpretentious, and you can meet young people where they are – whether they're completely new to the barn or already operating a tractor professionally. You don't need to be a teacher by training, but you need to enjoy explaining and demonstrating. Have at least 3 years of experience in practical agricultural work, preferably in animal production and/or crop production Have relevant agricultural education or equivalent knowledge through work experience Are comfortable handling agricultural machinery and enjoy operating a tractor and other machines safely Enjoy a role where you instruct, mentor and support students in their practical learning Have good collaboration skills and can communicate clearly and respectfully with both young people and adults Have a class B driver's license; it's a merit if you also have a license for heavier vehicles or construction machinery More About the Position Permanent employment, Full-time, Working hours during daytime/weekdays.
