About the Operation The Forensic Psychiatric Regional Clinic (RPK) in Sundsvall is one of the country's largest operations providing care under the Forensic Psychiatric Care Act (LRV). The clinic provides 24-hour inpatient care as well as outpatient services and maintains close collaboration with both regional and national actors in forensic psychiatry. The operation has been in an extensive development and expansion phase. This spring, the second of two new care units opened, and the clinic has now reached its target of ten care units with a total of 137 beds in modern and purpose-built facilities. Care is structured around a unified care process in five phases, from introduction phase to outpatient care, where working methods, organization, and medical structures are successively developed for future forensic psychiatric care. As Medical Chief of Staff, you will be a central figure in this work, with the opportunity to influence medical development and contribute to shaping the clinic's long-term direction. You will be part of an operation that is growing and where structures, working methods, and future organization are shaped through close collaboration between management and clinical staff. The position is a permanent employment in your base profession and the leadership assignment is time-limited to 4 years in accordance with the Region's leadership policy. Start date by agreement. The position is full-time and combines: 50% assignment as unit manager 50% clinical work as senior physician Responsibilities The unit manager assignment includes, among other things: Close work with the operation's continued development where medical leadership is a central part of creating sustainable structures and working methods in a growing organization Serving as the direct supervisor for the clinic's physicians Participating in the clinic's management group Collaboration with the operations manager, unit managers, and other professions Participating in strategic development matters at the clinic level In the role of senior physician, responsibilities include, for example: Responsibility for medical assessment, treatment, and supervision Work on-call, which contributes to medical continuity and accessibility around the clock within the operation Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Is a licensed physician with specialist training in psychiatry Can work independently as on-call coverage in your specialty, or alternatively has overarching competence within your subspecialty with the ability to assume overall responsibility Has at least 3 years of full-time clinical practice after obtaining specialist competence in the relevant base specialty Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing It is meritorious if you: Have specialist training or work experience in forensic psychiatry Have previous experience in a leadership position within healthcare Have a defined medical area of responsibility and/or expertise Have teaching and/or supervisory experience Have leadership and administrative experience/training Have earned a doctorate with active research in a relevant field Have other meritorious research credentials To succeed in this role, we believe you have these personal qualities: Stable Loyal Leadership Clear Judgment We place great importance on personal suitability.
