Landeryd Parish in the Linköping Cathedral Chapter is a large growing urban parish in southern Linköping that also includes the countryside in that part of the city. The parish has two parish churches with a rich liturgical life, Landeryd Church and S:t Hans Church in Ekholmen. We also have activities at Hackeforsgården in the Hackefors district. Our activities are continuously developing and our confirmation and choir programs are growing.
We are now seeking a church musician at level A, B, or C who wants to take a comprehensive approach to choir life at S:t Hans Church. We are looking for someone who wants to maintain the work that exists, but also develop and explore new paths and relationships for the future. Here you will become an important part of both the parish and the chapter as a whole. In Landeryd you will be part of a well-functioning work team consisting of 15 people.
About the Position
As a church musician in the parish, you will work together with three additional church musicians. You will lead the S:t Hans Choir, a mixed choir with experience performing large works as well as popular songs, musicals, and liturgical music. You will also work closely with a pedagogue colleague to oversee the Children's and Boys' Choirs at S:t Hans Church.
The work also includes officiating at high masses, weekly masses, church ceremonies, and services at care facilities. Together with the parish's three other musicians, you will lead music projects and develop the parish's choir life. The position includes continuing to build on and develop the parish's concert activities. You will become part of our rich liturgical life where liturgy and music are important.
In the Linköping Cathedral Chapter, we actively work with youth music-making and you will have the opportunity to be part of the chapter's organ school. You will also be part of Collegium Musicum where all the chapter's musicians meet for dialogue, reflection, and development.
The work tasks are varied and you will combine independent work with teamwork. Working hours may be scheduled for evenings and weekends.
About You
