Evanda Assistans' mission is to offer our clients the opportunity to remain as independent as possible, based on our commitment, knowledge, and experience. # Personal Assistant Needed – Ljusterö, Österåkers Municipality About the Client The client is a woman with an MS-like neurological disease and physical functional impairment. She lives on the scenic island of Ljusterö and leads an active life with her adult children. She enjoys nature, gardening, flowers, and dining out. The client is studying Swedish (SFI) and would like to practice the Swedish language at home and in daily life. The client uses a wheelchair and needs active support in her daily life. She has difficulty expressing her needs on her own, but is fully clear and aware. Therefore, it is important that you are attentive, observant, and actively help her by asking questions and recognizing what she needs. Duties As a personal assistant, you will, among other things: * Help with transfers and personal hygiene * Help with dressing and undressing * Prepare and serve meals, coffee/tea breaks, and snacks * Prepare fruit, sandwiches, and plates according to the client's wishes * Help with simple cooking and kitchen work * Clear away and maintain order after meals * Help with laundry and other daily household chores * Support the client in communication and help her express her needs * Accompany the client on activities outside the home, for example walks and restaurant visits * Support the client during exercise and provide light massage * Handle breathing mask and cough machine What is Important in This Role You need to be active, attentive, and able to see the client's needs even when she cannot express them herself. It is important that you dare to take initiative and ask questions, for example: "Would you like to go out?" "Do you need to drink?" "Should we wash up?" "Would you like something to eat?" "Shall I prepare fruit or a coffee break?" You work closely with the client and become an important part of her daily life.
