JOB DUTIES Would you like to contribute to the development of Gävle's educational activities? Do you have a strong interest in analysis, quality work, and operations development? Then this role might be for you! We are seeking a Quality Strategist for the sector leadership who reports directly to the Sector Manager for Education Gävle. You will have a strategically important role in the sector's management group and overall responsibility for the sector's systematic quality work. As qualified support to management and operations, you contribute to translating analysis and knowledge into operations development that makes a difference for children, students, and learners. You work based on the municipal objectives and national regulations that govern the sector and coordinate/supervise the work carried out by the quality development/research team. By quality assuring and analyzing operational data and processes, you identify trends, risks, and development areas and contribute to well-founded decisions and improvements. You also collaborate with quality strategists from other sectors in work on the municipal plan, internal governance and control, and in monitoring how Education Sector Gävle's goals are handled by other sectors and companies. You work closely with the sector manager and political governance in monitoring political goals and governance processes. Your main responsibilities include: • developing, driving, and coordinating systematic quality work • coordinating and monitoring quality reports and other materials • analyzing operational data and results • preparing decision and analysis materials and presenting matters for the sector's management and political committees • supporting management and operations in quality, analysis, and development work • contributing to the development of monitoring models, working methods, and governance • monitoring the external environment for research, national reforms, and regulatory requirements • supporting the sector in, for example, audits and external supervision. The role involves many contact points and close collaboration with the sector's management, managers, and operations. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is analytical, structured, and communicative and who enjoys translating complex information into clear conclusions. You have: • academic education in pedagogy, political science, social science, or other relevant educational field • several years of experience with strategic, qualified quality, analysis, and development work • experience driving and coordinating development work in larger organizations. It is meritorious if you have: • experience from qualified strategic management group work in education or public operations • worked with change management. Analytical You have the ability to see connections and patterns in complex materials and translate analysis into relevant conclusions and development areas. You can see details while maintaining a long-term perspective. Strategic You view the operations from a holistic perspective and can translate goals, governance, and environmental changes into strategies and concrete development initiatives. You have the ability to think long-term and see what needs to be developed going forward. Structured You plan and organize your work in a clear and efficient manner. You can handle multiple parallel processes, prioritize, and drive work forward while maintaining quality. Collaboration-Oriented You build good relationships and collaborate unpretentiously with different professions and levels in the organization. You contribute to creating shared understanding and find solutions with the organization's common goals in focus. Communicative You can make complex analyses and materials understandable and relevant for different audiences. You communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally, and adapt your message to the recipient and context.
