FRA is now seeking a qualified lawyer for the legal unit that provides legal support to the National Cybersecurity Center (NCSC). Your Assignment FRA's Chief Legal Counsel reports directly to the agency's Director General and has overall responsibility for ensuring that the agency's operations are conducted in accordance with law and other legislation. The Chief Legal Counsel shall also work to ensure that the agency has appropriate legislative support and is responsible for providing legal support to the agency. The Chief Legal Counsel is supported in this assignment by a Deputy Chief Legal Counsel and by the legal units, where the agency's lawyers are placed. As a qualified lawyer specializing in cybersecurity, you will be part of one of the agency's two legal units located at the Chief Legal Counsel's office. Your assignment consists primarily of providing legal support to the National Cybersecurity Center's (NCSC) operations. This support includes conducting legal investigations, handling referrals, drafting and quality-assuring decision proposals, agency regulations, internal regulations, agreements and memoranda of understanding. You will work with matters concerning cybersecurity legislation, EU law, contract law, personal data processing, as well as public access to information and confidentiality. You will also conduct internal training sessions. In your daily work, you will have many contacts both internally within the agency and externally with the Government Offices, other agencies and the business sector. Travel is part of the position. Your Qualifications We are seeking you if you have: A law degree (Juris Kandidat or Jurist examen) Notarial certification or equivalent experience Experience in qualified legal work at a state agency, court or equivalent Experience working with complex legal matters and good knowledge of state administration Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in English It is meritorious if you are an appeals court or district court assessor and if you have experience working in the Government Offices. It is also meritorious if you have experience working with cybersecurity legislation, personal data processing, contract law and drafting of regulations. Additionally, experience from the defense or security sector is meritorious. Your Character We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You have a solution-oriented approach and very good analytical skills. You are experienced at breaking down complex issues and problems. The position involves working both independently and in close collaboration with other lawyers and colleagues in other professional categories. It is important that you have good collaboration skills, very good judgment and high integrity. During certain periods, work is conducted under time pressure, which requires your ability to work quickly without compromising legal quality. Focus can change with short notice, which requires flexibility. As a person, you are confident and have the ability to receive feedback and make adjustments as needed. Meetings occur regularly in various locations, including near Drottningholm, approximately 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Within a few years, new premises will be ready in Bergshamra. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. A requirement for employment is a passed security clearance with register check. The security clearance will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment includes an obligation to be placed on war mobilization alert.
