Medborgarskolan Region Väst has an annual turnover of approximately 185 million SEK and employs approximately 200 staff members. Knitting Instructor Wanted! Medborgarskolan in Borås is seeking a knitting instructor for the fall term 2026 and beyond. Are you passionate about knitting, handicrafts, and creative projects? Would you like to inspire others and share your knowledge? We are now looking for committed knitting instructors who want to teach courses with us starting fall term 2026. Courses typically consist of 8 meetings of 3 hours each and are held primarily in the evenings once a week. Other formats may be available, such as daytime and weekend courses, in consultation with the responsible coordinator if you have the capacity to take on additional courses. About the Role As a knitting instructor at Medborgarskolan, you will have the opportunity to inspire participants and guide them in their creative development. You will plan and conduct your sessions independently, with support from our organization. Your Responsibilities Lead and teach knitting for beginners and/or more experienced participants. Prepare inspiring and developmental course sessions. Adapt instruction to the group's level and needs. Introduce various knitting techniques, materials, and patterns. Provide individual guidance and support throughout the course. Inspire participants to develop their skills and complete their own projects. Ensure the course room is kept in order during and after sessions. Create a safe, creative, and inclusive environment for participants. We Are Looking for You If You Have experience and strong knowledge of knitting. Mastery of various knitting techniques and an interest in handicrafts and textile creation. Are engaged, pedagogical, and creative. Have experience teaching or leading groups (a merit but not required). Want to contribute to folk education and create meaningful contexts for our participants. We Offer Pay per teaching hour (45 minutes). Opportunity to teach courses at times that suit you, primarily in the evenings. A developmental role in a creative and inspiring environment. The chance to take one free course per year with us.
