Part-Time Position – The role of course instructor is a part-time job and works very well for those with flexible schedules, as much of our programming is directed toward seniors and people with disabilities. Most of our course instructors have other primary employment. Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan Kalmar län is seeking instructors in Västervik who can teach courses in various subjects. We've listed examples of subjects below, but we are open to suggestions for courses you can teach: Various circles/courses aimed at accessibility and care (for example, painting circles, music circles, felting, etc. directed toward the target audience) Boating education Outdoor activities/Animals/Nature/Mushroom identification Various crafts Languages and literature History Economics Music/Singing Cooking/Baking Senior course instructors/Lectures Yoga/Qigong/meditation, etc. Courses for seniors in general subjects Conversation facilitator Our courses are open to everyone and can be customized in content. We offer courses during daytime, evenings, and weekends – as an instructor, you have a say in when the course is scheduled. We are primarily looking for you if you: Have an interest in sharing your knowledge. Have good knowledge of the Swedish language and can therefore teach in Swedish. Have experience and solid knowledge in the subject you wish to teach. It is an advantage if you have taught courses before, but it is not a requirement as we primarily base our decision on personal suitability. Are you the instructor we are looking for? Submit your application as soon as possible! Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis. What does it mean to be a course instructor at SV Kalmar län? As a course instructor, you have an important role at SV – you become SV's face to the public, and your job is to support and inspire the group in the subject you lead. You will be part of the group yourself, but you will also have overall responsibility for the course implementation. Together with the activity developer at SV Kalmar län, you will plan the course and create a work plan. You are also responsible for preparing meetings, creating a good group environment, and managing attendance reporting. To succeed as a course instructor, we also offer you leadership training that provides you with basic knowledge in group dynamics, pedagogy, and the art of leading a group without being a manager.
