Folkuniversitetet offers day and evening courses as well as lectures in areas such as languages, economics, communication, writing, and aesthetic subjects. Our courses are primarily aimed at private individuals but also at associations and companies. About the Position We are seeking an art instructor with a focus on, for example, watercolor, acrylic, hand lettering, urban sketching, mixed media, or other contemporary techniques in visual creation. Our courses are primarily held in the evenings, but daytime courses and weekend sessions may also be available at our facilities located in central Kungsbacka. You will independently plan and conduct your courses as well as follow up and record attendance. Your Skills and Background You have a strong interest and expertise in the subject area and enjoy teaching others. Previous experience teaching adults is a merit. Since instruction is conducted in Swedish, you should be able to express yourself well in Swedish. As a course leader at Folkuniversitetet, you are expected to have the ability to tailor instruction to individual needs and bring out each person's potential. It is important that you enjoy sharing knowledge and see the positive in course participants' development. You are flexible, attentive, and organized, and have experience working independently. We also expect you to share our view on people's equal value and right to knowledge. Employment Type The position is a project-based employment (employment per course) with compensation per teaching hour. Planning takes place in close collaboration with responsible personnel at Folkuniversitetet.
