About the workplace Women's and Youth Crisis Center Linnéan is a nonprofit organization with a feminist foundation. We actively work to counter violence by men and boys against women, girls, and children. We are now expanding our operations and seeking a dedicated team member to join us. Linnéan works to ensure that people who have experienced threats, violence, and/or other abuse receive the best possible support and protection. We operate a protected shelter for women and children who have experienced violence. We run a counseling service for women, youth, and children and work to prevent violence and raise public awareness by sharing knowledge about violence and its consequences. Linnéan is a workplace characterized by great commitment, where the focus is on supporting women and children to move forward in their process toward an independent life free from violence. About the position Linnéan is seeking a curator/housing coordinator who, together with other team members, will provide the support that women need during their time at the protected shelter. The role includes, among other things: - Offering support conversations and assistance with potential crisis reactions - Providing practical support based on women's individual needs - Collaborating with social services, other authorities, and organizations in Lidköping - Contributing together with other team members to ensure the shelter is safe, pleasant, and well-functioning - Participating in tasks necessary for the organization to operate well - Conducting support conversations within our open counseling service Since Women's and Youth Crisis Center Linnéan works both to prevent violence and to raise public awareness, this is also an important part of the position. All employees participate, for example, in lectures and educational initiatives at schools and for various work groups, associations, and other target groups. When the director is absent, the role also includes serving as acting director. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: - A degree in social work, socio-pedagogy, or other higher education that the employer deems equivalent (minimum 180 credits) - Experience working at a protected shelter or in similar services - Knowledge of violence, the mechanisms of violence, and its consequences - Experience working with people who have experienced violence and/or other abuse - Strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing - Good computer skills Great weight will be placed on your knowledge of and experience working with violence and its consequences. We are guided by the requirements that the Swedish Inspectorate for Care (IVO) sets for the position. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in an organization that develops in line with societal changes and based on existing needs. You are secure and stable in yourself, have a good ability to handle complex situations, and work solution-focused. You are engaged in issues concerning men's violence against women and want to contribute to ensuring that women, youth, and children who have experienced violence have a voice through knowledge dissemination and public awareness work. You are accustomed to working independently and taking your own initiative. You willingly contribute ideas and suggestions that develop the organization and its content. You see the value in creating new collaborations and educating others in the field. Work at Linnéan requires a high degree of flexibility and the ability to switch between different tasks based on the organization's changing needs, which may range from practical work to support conversations and conducting training. Merits It is advantageous if you have: - Therapy training - Leadership training We require a criminal background check (police record extract) prior to employment. Employment The position is full-time. Working hours are mainly weekdays 08:00–16:30. Since the organization is run as a nonprofit, certain joint meetings with members throughout the year may be scheduled in the evenings and on weekends. On-call duty is part of the position. We offer monthly salary. A six-month probationary period applies.
