Coordinator at the Rheumatology Clinic in Västmanland
REGION VÄSTMANLAND · Vollzeit
Västerås, Schweden
Do you want to work in an environment where a holistic perspective, teamwork, and the patient's entire life situation are in focus? We are now seeking an engaged coordinator for the Rheumatology Clinic. Job Responsibilities As a coordinator with us, you will have a meaningful and developing role where you make a real difference in people's lives. You will meet patients who have lived with their diagnosis for a long time and may need temporary support, as well as people who have recently received a rheumatic diagnosis. You work to support them in managing the challenges that the disease can bring—emotionally, socially, and physically—such as pain and fatigue. The position offers a varied day with both individual patient meetings and close collaboration in multiprofessional teams. You work with supportive conversations, crisis processing, motivational conversations, and psychosocial assessments, while contributing your expertise to create a holistic understanding of the patient's situation and needs. At the clinic, we work in teams and have, among other things, specialized teams focused on chronic pain, where the coordinator's contribution is an important part of the patient's rehabilitation and well-being. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the clinic's development and improvement work and contribute to future care. The position also includes a role as rehabilitation coordinator (approximately 25%), where you coordinate rehabilitation measures and support patients on their way back to work and daily life. About the Workplace The Rheumatology Clinic provides specialist care to patients with inflammatory and other rheumatic diseases. The activities include outpatient services, day care for infusion treatments and rehabilitation units, and a small number of inpatient beds at Västmanlands Hospital in Västerås. We work in multiprofessional teams where different competencies collaborate to provide patients with the best possible care and support. We offer stimulating and meaningful work in a well-functioning team where your expertise makes a great difference for patients. You will have the opportunity to combine patient-focused work with development work and influence the clinic's content. We offer good opportunities for professional development and we value a good work environment where collaboration, commitment, and quality are in focus. We also offer you: - A customized introductory program so you become confident and secure in your professional role - An experienced rheumatology coordinator available for support if needed, and regular coordinator meetings at the hospital with the opportunity to share knowledge and experience - Opportunities for professional development through, for example, internal training - A workplace for different stages of life - Free training at our fully equipped gym - Wellness allowance of 3000 kr/year More about your benefits can be found here: https://regionvastmanland.se/jobba-med-oss/dina-formaner/ Qualifications We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or equivalent education. If you do not have a degree in social work, you must be licensed as a health and medical care coordinator. You have experience with conversation methodology and we would appreciate it if you have a few years of experience working as a coordinator, preferably in health and medical care. If you have basic training in psychotherapy (level 1) and/or experience as a rehabilitation coordinator, that would be a great advantage. To thrive with us, we believe you have a genuine commitment to people living with chronic illness. You are confident in your profession and find it easy to create trusting meetings with people in different life situations. You work independently and in a structured manner, while at the same time appreciating close collaboration in multiprofessional teams and actively contributing your expertise. We value that you are proactive and want to be involved in developing both the clinic and your own work. Since the role as rehabilitation coordinator involves collaboration with external actors and responsibility for coordination, it is important that you have a good ability to plan, organize, and structure your work efficiently.
