About the Job As an enforcement officer, you work within one or more of the Enforcement Authority's areas of operation: summary proceedings, enforcement, debt settlement, and supervision in bankruptcy/reorganization. You are responsible for the legal quality of case handling. Your work spans several legal areas, primarily insolvency law, enforcement law, and property law. Initially, you will work within the enforcement area. In summary proceedings, you make qualified legal assessments in cases involving payment injunctions, general assistance, and special assistance. In enforcement, you are an integral part of authority exercise in enforcement measures and are responsible for executive property and housing rights sales. In debt settlement, you investigate the requirements for debt settlement in review and objection cases and make decisions in complex matters. In bankruptcy supervision, you oversee that bankruptcy administration is conducted correctly and are available to administrators when difficult questions arise. You also work with supervision of business restructurers. You also provide daily legal support to other colleagues, conduct training sessions, perform legal investigations, make decisions, respond to referrals, and write statements to courts. The role also includes representing the authority in various contexts and answering questions from the public and parties. You will undergo internal training for approximately one year. The training will alternate between theory and practice, applying law within our various operations. There is both opportunity and expectation to work in different operational departments over time. Everyone working at the Enforcement Authority contributes to work against crime. Your responsibilities include identifying and preventing attempted crime and reporting suspected crimes to other authorities. As an enforcement officer/trainee, you can, for example, counteract various types of crime by providing legal support to enforcement inspectors and case handlers. Your Qualifications: To be accepted as an enforcement officer trainee, you must have: - A Nordic law degree - Completed notary service at a district or administrative court, or calculated to be completed by your first employment day - Swedish citizenship - Category B driver's license It is desirable that you have two years of current work experience in qualified legal work from a law firm, court, or authority in a decision-making role, beyond notary service. Good to Know The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You start your employment as an enforcement officer trainee and after completing the training, you will receive the title of enforcement officer. The Enforcement Authority offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer. This position requires Swedish citizenship. Working in the state means you follow the state's value base. Special requirements are also placed on judgment, security awareness, and compliance with applicable laws. We ask questions during interviews about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked to references. We also obtain information about debts registered with the Enforcement Authority, bankruptcy, and business bans. The information obtained is weighed in a comprehensive assessment of your suitability for the current position. Employment with us may involve placement in a security clearance. A security vetting with background checks according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before an employment decision is made. When you apply, please attach your CV.
