Job Description Community Corrections' monitoring and response organization is part of the community corrections operation with the task of handling supervision for clients with electronic monitoring and attendance checks for clients sentenced to community service. You will be part of conducting various forms of monitoring or other necessary measures in the community corrections' various execution forms and will have the opportunity to participate in shaping the monitoring organization. You will work alongside community corrections inspectors and other correctional officers, which means it is important that you thrive in a flexible and dynamic environment. There is a strong focus on security-enhancing tasks such as access control for secure entry to our office and other security-related work such as drug testing and similar duties. Work tasks are performed both in community corrections facilities and out in the field. As a correctional officer you work on a schedule, and the position involves day shifts, evening shifts, and weekend work. Qualifications Your personal qualities are important, and to succeed in the role as a correctional officer you need to be confident, stable, and have good self-awareness, sound judgment, and integrity. You work closely with your colleagues in daily work, which requires strong collaboration skills and clear communication. You can plan and prioritize your work and take responsibility for driving your tasks forward. When circumstances change, you have the ability to adapt and maintain calm and professionalism even in demanding situations. The work also involves using various technical systems, which means you need to have an interest in technology and feel comfortable with digital tools. We are looking for you who have: Complete upper secondary education or other education combined with work experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service considers relevant Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written Good computer skills Category B driver's license It is advantageous if you have: Accredited correctional officer training Work experience in correctional services, social care, psychiatry, healthcare and care work, conflict management, and/or security work Experience in security checks/access control Other relevant language skills To thrive and succeed in your assignment, it is important that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of people, respect for the individual, and belief in human development.
