Municipal Technology and Services is divided into four units: Property, Streets and Parks, Water and Wastewater, and Food Services. We manage the municipality's land and business premises, clean municipal facilities, maintain streets and roads, paths and cycling routes, parks, playgrounds, forests, waste management, and utility networks. We produce drinking water and treat wastewater. Within the Food Services unit, we prepare meals for schools, preschools, elderly care, and home care services.
Position Description
Forshaga Municipality is seeking a responsible and service-oriented food transport driver for the municipality's meal service. The role involves transporting meals from our cooking facilities to the municipality's care homes for the elderly, preschools, and schools. You play an important role in ensuring that children, students, and elderly residents receive nutritious meals on time and with high quality. You will operate a light truck equipped with a tailgate lift for transporting food; the truck is driven with a Category B driving license. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:15–17:00.
Responsibilities
Transport of hot and cold meals between cooking facilities and facilities
Loading and unloading of food carts and transport containers
Collection of dishwashing containers from food carts
Safe handling of food according to applicable hygiene and safety procedures
Daily vehicle inspection and basic cleaning
Coordination with kitchen staff and receiving facilities
Qualifications
Category B driving license
Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Good physical capacity as the work may involve heavy transport of food carts
Ability to work independently, in an organized manner, and responsibly
It is advantageous if you have:
Experience with similar transport or service work
Valid certification for tailgate lift operation
Experience working in municipal services
