Control Room Engineer for Recycling and Water

Job Duties As a control room engineer with us, you will work with many competent colleagues across departmental and unit boundaries within the administration. Our unit "Production Control Room" belongs to the "Drinking Water Production" department where our two water treatment plants with their external facilities are organizationally located. Your role can be divided into two parts: regular working hours and outside regular working hours. During regular working hours, we spend most of our time at the water treatment plants by being part of one of our two operations teams that are responsible for operating the water treatment plants from the local control rooms. Outside regular working hours, we work in the administration's central control room. Since we are the only unit that operates around the clock, assignments from all administration departments are handed over to us to manage outside regular working hours, which applies to both operations and access to our facilities. Among other things, we monitor Raw water sources Drinking water production/distribution with associated facilities and pipe networks Sewage pumping stations with associated pipe networks Waste facilities. You handle data and alarms that come into the control room and draw conclusions from the available information. In your daily work, you have a central role in drinking water preparation and collaborate broadly both internally and externally regarding facilities related to Recycling and Water's mission. During evenings, nights, and weekends, control room engineers maintain contact with the public via SOS Alarm who may contact the control room with questions or information concerning drinking water, pipe networks, and/or waste. Your tasks also include administrative work such as writing procedures/instructions and documenting events. Qualifications We are looking for you who have: • 3-year higher education within the process industry, for example as a marine engineer. • Alternatively, you have several years of relevant experience working in the process industry related to water, electricity, or power generation including work in control rooms with operations monitoring, alone or in a group If you have previously worked in shifts and worked with the control systems Cactus and ABB, that is a merit. It is advantageous if you have worked with logbooks and have documentation experience. Since the position includes administrative tasks, we see that you can express yourself well both orally and in writing. The position is security classified which requires Swedish citizenship and approved security clearance, including among other things alcohol and drug testing and record check via Säpo.
