Description Would you like to be part of creating social benefit and developing the county's crisis preparedness? From the beginning of the year, the County Administrative Board in Dalarna is responsible for inspecting civil shelters in the county. We are looking for you to work as a civil shelter inspector and contribute to this new assignment. You will be involved in developing our working methods and initiating inspections of the county's civil shelters. Work Tasks Civil shelters are a very important part of Sweden's civil preparedness and exist to protect the population in the event of societal threats and other serious incidents. As a civil shelter inspector, you will perform inspections and follow-up inspections of civil shelters in Dalarna County. You may also participate in investigation matters and work on administrative tasks related to the assignment. In your work, you plan your inspections, send notices to property owners, conduct the inspections, and follow up to ensure any deficiencies are remedied. The role also includes guidance, which means you will provide advice and support on various questions about civil shelters that are directed to the authority by property owners and the public. This assignment is new, which means you will be involved in developing working methods and procedure descriptions. The position involves travel within Dalarna County. As an employee of the County Administrative Board, you may also need to be directed to other work tasks within the department or at the authority, as we are a preparedness authority and may receive temporary assignments that need to be solved quickly. It is therefore a requirement that you, as a person, have an interest in working broadly when the opportunity arises. Qualifications Are you the person we are looking for? For this role, we want you to have: Relevant education or other relevant and current expertise from the construction or real estate sector, or several years of current experience in site-based supervision that the County Administrative Board considers relevant, good ability to express yourself well in Swedish both orally and in writing, a B driver's license. To succeed in the role, you need to be confident in yourself, have integrity, and have the courage to make decisions even in complex and sometimes challenging situations. You are organized, analytical, and helpful, and have good communication and teaching skills. You can prioritize and are experienced at handling multiple matters in parallel. You enjoy collaborating but also feel comfortable working independently. It is meritorious if you have: Experience with property inspection or equivalent, experience with work on civil shelters or concrete constructions that we consider relevant, experience with site-based supervision work, other experience working at a state authority, The authority and department are in an expansive and developmental phase within areas concerning security and preparedness.
