The position is carried out at Calix AB in Eskilstuna. As a mechanical and electrical design engineer at Calix AB, you will be an important part of our team and responsible for developing and designing components and systems for the automotive industry. Your work will include everything from drawings and prototypes to seeing finished products used by leading vehicle manufacturers around the world. Example of work tasks · At Calix, you will participate in product development from the ground up. · You will collaborate with project managers, design engineers, lab technicians, procurement, and more. · You will have the opportunity to influence and contribute to the development of products for heating and electrification of vehicles. · Calix is large enough to work with major vehicle manufacturers, yet small enough to have direct contact with all functions and influence your work. Your work will be central to developing and optimizing our mechanical systems. · Furthermore, you should be familiar with SolidWorks or similar software. · Experience from the automotive industry is considered a merit in this role. · Additionally, knowledge of electrical systems is also a merit in this role. Work location The position is placed in our design and development department, which is the larger part of our Engineering Department. You will report directly to our development and project manager. Our main workplace is located in Eskilstuna, but occasional business travel within Sweden may occur, as well as one to two business trips abroad per year. We also offer the opportunity to work from home up to 2 days per week if work tasks allow. Employment terms The position is a permanent employment.
