About the Company
GKN Aerospace Sweden is part of GKN Aerospace, which manufactures engine components, aircraft structures, cabin windows, wiring, and more for many of the world's aircraft. The companies in the Aerospace division working with aircraft engine parts together form Engines, and at the facility in Trollhättan, advanced components for aircraft and space rocket engines are developed and manufactured. They also work with engine maintenance.
GKN Aerospace has production facilities in Trollhättan, Kongsberg (Norway), Mexico, and the USA. They also have an engineering office in Bangalore, India, and offices in Stockholm (Public Affairs) and Gothenburg. The headquarters for Engines is located in Trollhättan.
Your Responsibilities
Right now, GKN is looking for a new colleague in a department with extensive experience and growing expertise. The department supports GKN's operations in military and space. As a configuration manager, you have primary responsibility for driving and supporting one or more of the company's projects with configuration management—that is, planning, development, production, delivery, and modification of their products. You ensure that product data is complete, up-to-date in the configuration management system, and traceable throughout the product's lifecycle.
Examples of your tasks:
• Establish and maintain configuration-controlled documents.
• Drive and coordinate change management.
• Ensure product structure and configuration baselines.
• Support reviews and audits.
The role is central and important for their projects and products to meet the requirements for order and compliance of safety-critical products in the industry in which they operate. Product data is used in relationships with various customers both internally and externally. Collaboration with other departments and partners in, for example, manufacturing, product development, customers, and suppliers is essential.
The role offers excellent opportunities to develop within Systems Engineering, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and quality management in a high-tech environment.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, college studies, or equivalent knowledge acquired through experience
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Meritorious
• Experience in configuration or quality
• Knowledge of PLM tools such as SAP and/or Teamcenter
• Experience in Systems Engineering
• Office suite proficiency
