Snälltåget is seeking future Train Attendants/Conductors for Stockholm Snälltåget is expanding traffic on all our routes and is therefore looking for more employees stationed in Stockholm Who are we looking for? As a Train Attendant, or Conductor as we call them at Snälltåget, you work alone or in a team in the cars during the entire journey and are responsible for passenger service and safety. Areas of Responsibility Responsible for passenger safety in accordance with traffic regulations, safety regulations and policies. Information to passengers including PA announcements. Ticket inspection and, in international traffic, also passport control. Preparation and stabling of passenger cars. Departure signaling. Ensure that the train is clean and tidy, including cleaning and reporting any damage and faults that occur. Function and quality checks before train departure and during the journey. Troubleshooting and fixing car problems. Contact with Engine Drivers and Operations Management. Prepare food or work as serving staff in our restaurant car Krogen Personal Qualities and Skills Good safety awareness. Able to remain attentive during longer journeys, including at night Handles unexpected and sudden situations calmly and methodically Good communication skills and ability to see passenger needs Stress-resistant and able to handle multiple tasks at once Ability to meet schedules and take own initiative for decisions Self-driven, initiative-taking and willing to work broadly with other tasks within Snälltåget Your Background Secondary school competence Fluent Swedish Speaks, reads and understands English at minimum level B2 Health Requirements You must meet the health requirements according to applicable rail regulations, which includes good vision and hearing with correction (Transport Board regulations). We will send you for a health examination paid by Snälltåget if you advance in the recruitment process. Other Information Irregular working hours, including nights; overnight stays at other locations are common. Employment Form: Full-time permanent position with a six-month introductory probation period. Start Date: end of October/beginning of November 2026 Work Location: Stockholm Training is held in Malmö and continues for at least 9 weeks. Internal Training You will undergo a gradual paid internal training where you will first work in our restaurant car Krogen as a server and prepare food. Then training to become a Conductor begins to work on our trains in Sweden.
