Job Description Do you want to take strategic overall responsibility for how the IT landscape is shaped and developed in a societally important group? We at Mälarenergi are now looking for you to act as the link between our operations and our IT delivery. We make resource-efficient society possible, and in this role you ensure that our architecture functions as an enabler for us to reach our ambitious goals. Your Role As Group IT Architect you will become a central part of the Digital Governance and Development department. You work in a close and complementary radar pair with our technical Group IT Architect to build and take shared responsibility for Mälarenergi's architectural capabilities. Your main task is to translate the group's needs and strategic goals into long-term sustainable IT capabilities, target architecture and strategic choices for IT landscape development. You map existing technical debt and analyze what drives costs in the IT landscape. Through your work you create the space needed for us to work more data-driven and eventually implement new technology, such as AI. Join us on the Journey to Zero! Areas of Responsibility Lead architecture forums and ensure that we move in line with our target architecture. Drive a major review of our existing business systems and CRM solutions. Establish a federated architectural capability where our various companies take clear responsibility within their domain. Support IT leadership and operations in major strategic choices, for example regarding our future cloud strategy. Collaborate closely with our information and cybersecurity function. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has a technical foundational understanding but is driven by the need to understand the group's needs and translate them into strategic and executable choices for the IT landscape. You have a strong ability to lead transformative change and are experienced in managing the resistance that can arise when an organization develops. You have: Relevant academic education in IT, engineering or equivalent experience. Several years of combined experience in senior IT roles, including at least 3 years in a dedicated architect role within a complex or large-scale organization. Experience developing target architecture, architectural principles and roadmaps and translating strategic needs into architectural choices. The ability to stake out a 3–5 year vision, without losing touch with ongoing projects and operational work. Fluent knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. You as a Person To succeed in this role you need strong self-leadership – you take own initiatives, act transparently and tackle challenges directly. You have a high pedagogical ability and communicate clearly, which enables you to explain complex relationships to both IT leadership and operations. You avoid getting stuck in theoretical models and instead always focus on what value we create. You are collaborative and build strong relationships across the group.
