Communicator for the Department of Chemistry Are you a curious and resourceful communicator who wants to contribute to developing communication at one of the university's largest departments? The Department of Chemistry is looking for you to work both strategically and operationally with internal and external communication. We offer stimulating work with ample scope for creativity and development. Job Responsibilities In your role as a communicator, you are responsible for coordinating, developing, and ensuring the quality of the department's internal and external communication. This means you provide strategic communication support to the department and develop strategies, guidelines, and working methods for communication efforts. You are responsible for developing the department's communication channels, including web, intranet, digital displays, and social media. You work to showcase and strengthen the department's research, education, and collaboration through targeted communication by producing and publishing content in various formats, such as web copy, news, press materials, social media, photos, videos, and graphic materials. You shall also participate in the development and management of websites and digital communication solutions, as well as contribute to the department's profiling, recruitment, and employer branding. Qualifications University degree in media and communication science or equivalent education. Very strong ability to work with text, visual media, and digital channels, both strategically and operationally. Experience producing reports, news, and other editorial content for web, intranet, and social media. Strong knowledge of photo and video production, from planning and production to publishing and adaptation for different channels. Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, for example InDesign, Premiere Pro, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Excellent language skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. To thrive in the position, you should be stimulated by having multiple contact points, assignments, and tasks ongoing simultaneously. You should be good at collaboration, have strong initiative and planning abilities, be able to prioritize among tasks, and have the ability to work independently and take personal responsibility for your work. You are creative and bring your own ideas and approaches to communication-related issues and have the ability to take initiative in development and achieve results. Meritorious Qualifications Experience developing communication and channel strategies. Professional experience working with social media such as LinkedIn. Experience in communication work in government operations, preferably at a university or college.
